Originally intended as a carpet design, this pattern has been carefully refined, retaining its distinctive shaping and introducing meandering elements into a soft ogee. Printed on a chunky, natural hemp blend base cloth in an authentic palette, tulip heads and acanthus leaves interlace, typical of Morris’s enigmatic hand.
